Flooding is one of the most common environmental problems in urban areas, driven by increasing rainfall intensity, land-use changes, population growth, and declining drainage system performance. This study aims to analyze the existing condition of the drainage system, evaluate channel capacity, and examine the relationship between drainage damage and flood inundation areas on Kerta Dalem Street, Sidakarya Village, South Denpasar District. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach through field surveys, direct observations, drainage channel measurements, and hydrological and hydraulic analyses. The data consisted of drainage channel conditions, rainfall records, and watershed characteristics. The findings indicate that several drainage channels have experienced sedimentation, solid waste blockage, channel siltation, and structural deterioration, resulting in reduced hydraulic capacity and an inability to convey stormwater runoff during periods of high rainfall. These conditions significantly contribute to flooding along road sections and surrounding residential areas. The study concludes that improving drainage capacity through physical rehabilitation, channel normalization, and routine maintenance is essential to reduce flood risk. The findings are expected to provide useful information for local governments in developing more effective and sustainable urban drainage management strategies to minimize flooding impacts in South Denpasar.
