<![CDATA[The Road Jendral Sudirman area in Palembang City is one of the main areas that is the center of economic, social, and transportation activities. Along this road there are many shopping centers, office buildings, public facilities, and various other business places. The high density of activity causes a high volume of vehicles passing through and stopping to park on the roadside. This causes serious problems such as traffic congestion and disruption of vehicle flow. This study aims to analyze the need for parking spaces that can accommodate vehicles parked on Jalan Jendral Sudirman so that there are no more vehicles parked illegally on the roadside. The methods used include field surveys, parking needs analysis, Parking Accumulation, Parking Volume, and Parking Space Needs. The results obtained, for the need for parking space with a land area of 8,400 m2 as many as 540 parking spaces for cars and 1,440 parking spaces for motorcycles with a volume of 537 cars and a volume of 713 motorcycles. This shows that parking facilities are an effective solution to reduce illegal parking and improve traffic flow in the area]]>
