The Ir. M. Putuhena Road corridor is a key access route in Ambon City, characterized by significant pedestrian activity—particularly among university students, faculty members, and local residents. However, this high level of pedestrian activity is not fully supported by adequate facilities, a situation that impacts user safety, comfort, and accessibility. This study aims to analyze the walkability level of the Ir. M. Putuhena Road corridor. It employs a quantitative descriptive approach involving field observations, documentation, and questionnaires administered to 100 pedestrian facility users selected via accidental sampling. The walkability analysis is based on Krambeck’s (2006) indicators, covering aspects of safety and security, comfort and attractiveness, and policy support. A scoring system was used to calculate the walkability index. The results indicate a walkability index score of 61 for the Ir. M. Putuhena Road corridor, placing it in the "good" category. Nevertheless, certain conditions require improvement, including limited, narrow, or damaged sidewalks; a lack of pedestrian crossings and shading; and the presence of obstructions along the pedestrian path. These findings demonstrate that enhancing the quality and completeness of pedestrian facilities remains essential to optimizing safety, comfort, and accessibility for pedestrians.
