Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of workload and work motivation on employee job satisfaction at the Bima Regency Samsat Office. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population and sample consisted of 37 employees selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and literature studies. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26, including classical assumption tests, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F-test. The results indicate that workload does not have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. In contrast, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Simultaneously, workload and work motivation significantly influence employee job satisfaction, with a contribution of 44.3%, while the remaining 55.7% is explained by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that enhancing work motivation is an important factor in improving employee job satisfaction at the Bima Regency Samsat Office.
