The issue of adolescent mental health has become a widely discussed topic in both formal and public spheres. One factor contributing to its growing visibility is the role of social media, where content related to mental health often attracts significant attention and engagement. At the same time, the theme has increasingly been adopted in popular cultural productions, including visual arts and music. Within the Indonesian independent music scene, concerns about psychological vulnerability and emotional struggles have emerged as recurring themes in song lyrics, particularly since 2018.Many of these songs portray experiences associated with the so-called Strawberry Generation, a term often used to describe young people who are perceived as emotionally fragile despite growing up in relatively supportive environments. Through various narratives, metaphors, and lyrical styles, these songs represent feelings of anxiety, insecurity, loneliness, self-doubt, and difficulties in coping with social pressures. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method to analyze representative messages related to mental health in Indonesian folk songs released between 2018 and 2023. Using a thematic analysis approach grounded in popular culture theory, the research examines seven Indonesian folk songs that address mental health issues through diverse themes and forms of expression. The findings reveal several recurring themes that reflect the mental health condition of the Strawberry Generation. Among these, the most dominant theme is the representation of low mental resilience, characterized by emotional vulnerability, difficulty coping with life challenges, and a tendency to experience psychological distress when facing social.
