Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality rates remain a major issue in Indonesia's healthcare system, particularly during pregnancy, childbirth, the neonatal period, and the postpartum period, which carry high risks to the safety of both mother and child. Preventive efforts can be carried out through comprehensive midwifery care, which is a holistic approach covering all aspects of reproductive health. In support of this effort, the author provided comprehensive midwifery care to Mrs. H, G5P3A1, at 37 weeks and 3 days of pregnancy, starting from pregnancy through family planning services, using Varney's seven-step method and SOAP documentation. During pregnancy, the patient underwent six antenatal visits without complications, delivered a healthy baby girl through a normal delivery, experienced a physiological postpartum period with three visits, and has not yet decided on a contraceptive method to use after delivery. The author hopes that through this care, the patient will be able to recognize signs of complications early and improve skills in maintaining reproductive health, thereby contributing to reducing maternal and infant mortality rates
