This study aimed to examine the effect of ijarah sukuk issuance on the profitability of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022–2024, with profitability measured by Return on Assets (ROA). The study employed a quantitative associative approach using secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of companies issuing ijarah sukuk. Four companies were selected using purposive sampling, resulting in twelve firm-year observations. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with IBM SPSS. The findings indicated that ijarah sukuk issuance did not have a significant effect on company profitability. This result suggested that the issuance of ijarah sukuk alone was not sufficient to improve profitability, as financial performance could be influenced more strongly by operational efficiency, asset utilization, and managerial effectiveness. Therefore, companies need to ensure that funds obtained through ijarah sukuk are allocated effectively to productive activities that can support sustainable financial performance.
