Background: Violent behavior is a condition in which a person experiences uncontrolled anger expressed through verbal, physical, or psychological actions that may endanger oneself or others. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is a complementary therapy combining tapping at specific body points with a spiritual approach. Objective: To describe the application of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique to signs and symptoms of violent behavior. Method: A descriptive case study was conducted involving two patients with violent behavior in a maintenance condition at Sena Ward, Dr. Arif Zainudin Mental Hospital, Surakarta. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique was administered for 10 minutes once daily for three days. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and a checklist of signs and symptoms based on RUFA. Results: Signs and symptoms in Mr. A decreased from 5 indicators to 0, while those in Mr. J decreased from 4 indicators to 1 after the intervention. Conclusion: The application of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique was followed by a decrease in signs and symptoms of violent behavior in both patients. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique may be considered a complementary nursing intervention to support emotional response control in patients with violent behavior.
