This study aims to examine the effect of job description and work climate on teacher performance at Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Putri Aisyiyah Bireuen. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach. The population consisted of all teachers at the institution, while the sample comprised 43 teachers using census sampling, excluding the researcher from the respondents. Primary data were collected through a five-point Likert questionnaire distributed using Google Forms and analyzed with multiple linear regression through IBM SPSS. Instrument testing showed that all questionnaire items were valid because the Pearson correlation values exceeded 0.30. The reliability test indicated acceptable internal consistency, with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.684 for job description, 0.790 for work climate, and 0.872 for teacher performance. The partial test showed that job description had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with t = 5.526 and significance = 0.000. Work climate also had a positive and significant effect, with t = 3.904 and significance = 0.000. Simultaneously, job description and work climate significantly affected teacher performance, as indicated by F = 32.335 and significance = 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.618, meaning that the two independent variables explained 61.8% of the variation in teacher performance, while 38.2% was associated with other factors outside the model. The findings highlight the importance of clear work responsibilities and a supportive work climate in strengthening teacher performance.
