The rapid adoption of digital transactions and contactless services has driven the demand for compact, flexible printing systems, particularly for Quick Response (QR) codes. This study designs and evaluates an ESP32-based wireless sticker paper printer tailored for real-time QR code generation and printing. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model, the prototype integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, a 58 mm Bluetooth thermal printer, an I2C 16x2 LCD display, and push-button inputs. System performance was analyzed based on software-hardware integration and Bluetooth Response Time (BRT) across varying distances. The results demonstrate that the system operates reliably within a 2 to 8-meter range, maintaining a stable response time of 95–96 ms. At 10 meters, response time increases significantly to 2,908 ms due to packet loss, while distances exceeding 10 meters lead to disconnection ("BT Failed"). This standalone system offers a responsive, cost-effective wireless printing solution for QR code labeling in micro, small, and medium enterprises.
