The low level of religious awareness among the community in rural areas requires sustained capacity-building efforts through the optimization of the role of Islamic religious counselors. This community service project aims to optimize the role of Islamic religious counselors in enhancing religious awareness among the community in Bojong Sempu Village. The method used is participatory mentoring through the stages of situation analysis, counseling, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that this mentoring was able to strengthen the informative-educational, consultative, and advocacy functions of religious counselors through the use of Majelis Taklim as a medium for guidance. This program also increased community participation and strengthened the sustainability of religious guidance. Thus, participatory mentoring is an effective approach to increasing religious awareness among the community at the village level.
