Chicken eggs are one of the livestock products with high consumption rates, requiring an effective quality control process. In practice, egg counting and sorting processes are still commonly performed manually, leading to recording errors and inconsistencies in determining egg quality. This study aims to design an egg quality classification and counting system based on ESP32 using a light penetration method with LED and Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors. The system is equipped with servo motors for egg gate mechanisms and automatic egg separation, a 16×2 I2C LCD for displaying information, and Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring using the Blynk application. Before hardware implementation, the system was tested through simulations using the Wokwi platform to ensure program logic and component integration operated properly. The implementation results show that the system is capable of classifying eggs into good and defective categories, automatically separating eggs, counting eggs in real time, and displaying monitoring data through the Blynk application. The developed system is expected to improve the efficiency of egg sorting processes and reduce human error in small- and medium-scale poultry farms
