This community service research aimed to describe the implementation of pastoral assistance for interfaith Christian-Catholic couples at Paroki St. Kornelius Pohon Bao and to analyze its impact on couples’ readiness to build a Christian family. The study employed a qualitative descriptive mrthod with a participatory approach. The participants consisted of one interfaith couple preparing to receive the sacrament of marriage. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and participant reflections during the pastoral assistance process. Yhe activities included faith formation, marriage catechesis, pastoral dialogue, experience sharing, and pastoral counseling. The results showed that pastoral assistance helped couples understand the meaning of the sacrament of marriage, improve spiritual and emotional readiness, and develop tolerance and open communication in interfaith family life. In addition, the couples gained a deeper understanding of family responsibilities, children’s faith education, and the importance of cooperation in building a harmonious family. Pastoral assistance at the parish level proved to be a contextual form of Church ministry in responding to family challenges within a pluralistic and multicultural society.
