Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in improving the quality of public services to the community. However, in its implementation, public services often still face various obstacles such as delays in service, lack of employee discipline, and limited facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to determine how employee performance in providing public services at the Pangkalan Kerinci Sub-district Office, Pelalawan Regency in 2025. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Sub-district Head, Office Employees and the Community of Pangkalan Kerinci Sub-district. The results of the study indicate that employee performance in providing public services at the Pangkalan Kerinci Sub-district Office, Pelalawan Regency in 2025, it can be concluded that employee performance in providing services to the community in general has been running quite well. This can be seen from the efforts of employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in accordance with applicable procedures and providing services to the community directly. However, in its implementation there are still several obstacles that affect the optimality of public services, such as limited human resources, namely the lack of male employees in the field, facilities and infrastructure that are not yet fully adequate such as wifi network disruptions, and there are still delays in the process of serving the community. Therefore, employee performance improvements are necessary to ensure that public services are provided more effectively and efficiently, and meet public expectations.
