<![CDATA[Unregistered marriages remain a legal issue that impacts the non-fulfillment of children's civil rights, such as identity certainty, birth certificates, civil relationships with parents, and access to various public services. Marriage confirmation is a legal instrument to provide certainty of marital status while protecting children's civil rights. This study aims to analyze the implementation of children's civil rights protection in the implementation of marriage confirmation at the Sumber Religious Court and identify factors that influence its effectiveness. The study used an empirical juridical method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews with judges and officials of the Sumber Religious Court, observations, and documentation studies of marriage confirmation decisions and relevant laws and regulations. The results show that the implementation of marriage confirmation has provided legal protection for children through the determination that serves as the basis for marriage registration and issuance of birth certificates, thereby ensuring the certainty of children's identity and civil relationships. However, its implementation still faces obstacles such as low public legal awareness, limited evidence, and suboptimal coordination between agencies. This research has implications for the importance of strengthening synergy between the Religious Court, the Office of Religious Affairs, and the Population and Civil Registration Service, as well as increasing legal education to the public in order to realize more effective and sustainable protection of children's civil rights.]]>
