<![CDATA[Malang is the third-best national tourism destination. It supports 20% of regional income revenue obtaining from significant number of tourists. In addition, it is the target of the CEZ (specific economic zone) program that has potential for tourism development and growth in management and tourism industry, including Sumber Gentong. Tirtomoyo Village, Malang regency. This research aims to explore Sumber Gentong's management system. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method applying 3 instruments of collecting data, i.e. observation, interview, and documentary. The informants are determined by a purposive sampling technique. This research also discloses the information about the obstacles encountered in implementing the management system. The obstacles are physical constraints (parking lot, accessibility, accommodation, and shopping ) and non-physical constraints (social conditions, human resource, economic benefits ). To sum up, the research indicates that management system of Sumber Gentong as tourism destination is quite good but still some obstaclees come into exist. Future research is suggested to try to improve the management system that can be started by conducting a SWOT analysis to explore the potential strengths of Sumber Gentong to overcome the obstacles.
