Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy has encouraged the development of renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources. This study aims to analyze the performance of a thermoelectric generator using a parabolic solar cooker as the heat source. The system consists of five SP1848 thermoelectric modules connected in series with an ice-filled cooling box serving as the cooling medium. Experiments were conducted over four days with 40 observations using a 100 Ω resistive load. The measured parameters included solar radiation intensity, temperature difference (ΔT), output voltage, current, and power. The results showed a strong correlation between solar radiation intensity and cooker temperature (R² = 0.9723), while ΔT exhibited a very strong linear relationship with the output voltage (R² = 0.9997). The best performance was achieved on the third day, with a solar radiation intensity of 1054 W/m², ΔT of 80°C, output voltage of 9.5 V, current of 0.432 A, and output power of 4.102 W. Compared with previous studies, the proposed system produced higher ΔT, voltage, and power, demonstrating that the parabolic solar cooker effectively enhanced the thermoelectric generator performance
