Ideally, settlements should have adequate facilities and infrastructure to support community activities. Tambak Lorok, as a fishing village in Semarang City, has undergone a transformation since the 1960s which has had a significant impact on the environment, especially land subsidence of 10–12 cm per year. This study aims to identify changes in the Tambak Lorok settlement space and its impact on environmental degradation and slums, using a qualitative descriptive approach through literature studies. The results of the study indicate that changes in spatial structure, building density, and minimal open space exacerbate vulnerability to rob. This condition is exacerbated by the weak implementation of government policies and the economic limitations of the community.
