The Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon is a significant consequence of urbanization and climate change in metropolitan areas. This study aims to analyze the spatial and temporal dynamics of air surface temperature in the Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) areas using Landsat 8 satellite imagery and field survey data. Land Surface Temperature (LST) was calculated for the years 2014, 2019, 2022, and 2025 and then converted into Air Surface Temperature (AST) using linear regression models applied in ArcGIS Pro. The results reveal a noticeable increase in surface temperatures in both study areas, particularly in regions dominated by built-up land and limited vegetation. The UHI effect was identified through the expansion of high-temperature zones (>40°C), exacerbated by reduced humidity and increased heat emissions.
