<![CDATA[This study examines changes in coastlines and land use in Demak Regency, Central Java, from 2015 to 2025, utilizing Google Earth imagery and GIS-based spatial analysis. Two locations, Sayung and Wedung, were selected to represent differences in human-related (anthropogenic) impact. The methods employed included visual interpretation of images at multiple time points and the application of the Spatial Consistency Index (SCI), a measure of the stability or invariance of the coastline's physical features over time. The results show that Sayung experienced significant erosion from 2015 to 2020 but was relatively stable after mangrove rehabilitation (SCI = 0.0198, indicating high stability), while Wedung showed extreme coastline retreat (regression) and degradation of aquaculture ponds (SCI = 0.00516, indicating low stability). This approach, based on freely available data, is effective for long-term monitoring of coastal areas where conventional satellite data is limited.]]>
