. This research employed a quantitative approach using an associative method. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 59 respondents who are employees of the Center for the Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Building and Electricity, Medan. The data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation, while the data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) software to test the seven hypotheses proposed in this study. The results of the study proved that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and the work environment also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, leadership and the work environment have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. However, work motivation has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation as an intervening variable is unable to mediate the influence of leadership and the work environment on employee performance at the Center for the Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Building and Electricity Medan..
