<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the use of denotative and connotative meanings in the song “Speechless” by Naomi Scott. The researcher discusses how literal and emotional meanings are expressed through the lyrics and how these meanings support the message of the song. This study uses a qualitative method with content analysis design. The researcher found a total of 31 data in the lyrics that contain denotative and connotative meanings. The analysis also reveals three main messages in the song: the song reflects rebellion, showing how someone refuses to stay quiet when treated unfairly. Second, it expresses resilience by highlighting the strength to keep going and not give up, even when facing pressure. Third, it describes freedom through the courage to speak out and be true to oneself without fear. Based on the analysis, the researcher hopes this research can help readers understand how song lyrics can carry deeper meanings beyond their literal words. This study also shows how analyzing denotative and connotative meanings can lead to a better appreciation of the messages behind a song.]]>
