Road paving projects have the potential to generate occupational safety risks while also causing environmental impacts on surrounding communities. This study aimed to evaluate occupational health and safety (OHS) practices, identify occupational accident risk levels, and assess dust impacts on communities at the Silaut Road paving project, Pesisir Selatan. A descriptive quantitative approach with an observational design was applied. Primary data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving 15 workers directly engaged in project activities and 15 community members living around the project site. Hazard identification and risk assessment were conducted based on activity frequency, exposure duration, and severity, while the implementation of personal protective equipment (PPE), safety signs, and dust impacts was analyzed using a four-point Likert scale. The results showed that 11 of 16 activities, or 62.5%, had high and very high risk levels. PPE implementation obtained a mean score of 3.22, while safety sign implementation obtained a mean score of 3.20, both categorized as high. Meanwhile, all indicators of dust impacts on the community were categorized as high, with a mean score of 3.13. These findings indicate that OHS control measures have been implemented relatively well, but supervision, safety sign maintenance, control of high-risk activities, and dust management still require improvement. Integrated control measures are needed to protect workers and reduce environmental impacts on surrounding communities, particularly for activities near residential areas and involving heavy equipment and active traffic. Keywords: Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Assessment, Personal Protective Equipment, Dust Impacts, Road Paving Project.
