Abstract

Ineffective internal communication can lead to miscommunication, diminish the quality of workplace relationships, and increase the risk of employee burnout. This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of how public relations can optimize internal communication to reduce employee burnout. The study employs a qualitative approach using the case study method at PT Sage Pangan Adikara. The study involved 9 informants, consisting of 1 Public Relations Manager, 1 member of the management team, and 7 employees from various departments who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using thematic analysis with validity testing through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results indicate that internal communication characterized by two-way interaction, empathy, transparency, and consistency is perceived by employees as a form of organizational support that enhances engagement, builds mutual trust, and supports psychological well-being in the face of burnout. This study concludes that internal communication serves not only as a managerial tool but also as a preventive strategy for maintaining employees’ mental health and strengthening organizational sustainability.
