This study aims to analyze the influence of e-wallet usage intensity and hedonic motivation on the financial management behavior of Generation Z in Palopo City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 respondents selected using an incidental sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and questionnaire distribution. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS, employing multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) test. The results indicate that e-wallet usage intensity and hedonic motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on the financial management behavior of Generation Z in Palopo City, with an F-value of 34.884 and a significance level of 0.000. Partially, e-wallet usage intensity has a significant effect on financial management behavior, with a t-value of 3.362 and a significance level of 0.001, while hedonic motivation also has a significant effect, with a t-value of 3.159 and a significance level of 0.002. The regression equation obtained is Y = 15.611 + 0.384X1 + 0.404X2 + e. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.418 indicates that e-wallet usage intensity and hedonic motivation explain 41.8% of the variation in financial management behavior, while the remaining 58.2% is explained by other factors outside the research model. Therefore, e-wallet usage intensity and hedonic motivation are proven to have a significant effect on the financial management behavior of Generation Z in Palopo City.
