The Influence of Work-Family Conflict and Digital Leadership on Employee Performance with Self-efficacy as an Intervening Variable (A Study at PT. Indako Trading Coy Medan, Pemuda Branch)

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, rapid advancements in digital technology have significantly transformed the business landscape. These dynamic forces organizations to adopt effective adaptation strategies to sustain their business continuity. This study aims to analyze the influence of work-family conflict and digital leadership on employee performance, with self-efficacy acting as an intervening variable at PT. Indako Trading Coy Medan, Pemuda Branch. The phenomenon of declining peak employee performance amidst the expansion of spare parts sales highlights the importance of examining self-efficacy, digital leadership, and work-family conflict. This research employs an associative method with a quantitative approach. The study population consists of 232 employees. Sampling was conducted using a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 180 respondents who met the specific criteria of the study. Primary data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires, and data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS software version 4.1.1.8. The results indicate that, directly, work-family conflict has a negative and significant effect on self-efficacy, and work-family conflict has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on both self-efficacy and employee performance, and self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Indirectly, work-family conflict has a negative and significant effect on employee performance through self-efficacy, and digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through self-efficacy.
