Nutritional problems among adolescents remain prevalent, while low knowledge of balanced nutrition among students receiving the Free Nutritious Meal Program indicates the need for engaging and interactive educational media, such as Quizizz. This study aimed to determine the effect of Quizizz-based interactive media on balanced nutrition knowledge among students receiving the Free Nutritious Meal Program. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group pre-test-post-test design. The intervention group received education using Quizizz-based interactive media, while the control group received no intervention. The results showed that the mean knowledge score in the intervention group increased from 3.00 ± 1.595 to 6.74 ± 1.214, while the control group increased from 2.91 ± 1.203 to 3.65 ± 1.301. The Independent t test showed no significant difference in baseline knowledge between the intervention and control groups (p = 0.836), whereas a significant difference was found after the intervention (p < 0.001). Quizizz-based interactive media was effective in improving balanced nutrition knowledge among students receiving the Free Nutritious Meal Program. Quizizz can be utilized as an interactive nutrition education medium in schools and further developed in future research with a broader scope.
