<![CDATA[This study examines how Industrial Field Experience shapes students' Job Readiness, positioning Self-Efficacy as the variable linking the two. Using a quantitative, causal-associative design, the research drew on 100 students from the 2022 cohort of the D4 Hospitality Management Study Program at Universitas Negeri Padang, each of whom had completed two rounds of industrial placement; the entire eligible population was included as the sample through saturated sampling. A 1-5 Likert questionnaire served as the data-collection instrument, with responses processed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 3.0. All three constructs, Industrial Field Experience, Self-Efficacy, and Job Readiness, fell into the very-good category. Hypothesis testing revealed a significant positive path from Industrial Field Experience to Self-Efficacy (β = 0.781; p = 0.000) and from Self-Efficacy to Job Readiness (β = 0.659; p = 0.000), whereas the direct path from Industrial Field Experience to Job Readiness was not significant (β = 0.224; p = 0.079). Mediation analysis confirmed that Self-Efficacy fully mediates the link between Industrial Field Experience and Job Readiness (β = 0.515; p = 0.000). These results suggest that an internship program's success in preparing students for work should not be judged by placement duration alone, but also by how far the experience cultivates students' self-belief.]]>
