Hypertension in pregnancy is a complication that can increase the risk of preeclampsia and eclampsia, thus impacting the health of the mother and fetus. One effort to prevent these complications is through the implementation of self-management behavior (SMB). This study aims to explore the experiences of pregnant women with hypertension in implementing self-management behavior (SMB) to prevent eclampsia at Indriati Solo Baru Hospital. This study used a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and field notes, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study produced six themes, namely initial experiences facing hypertension, understanding the risks of hypertension, self-management in controlling hypertension, family support, obstacles to preventing hypertension, and behavioral changes after diagnosis. Participants implemented a healthy diet, light physical activity, blood pressure monitoring, and routine pregnancy check-ups with family support.
