Inceptisols soil is a type of soil that is widely found in Kepahiang District and has the characteristics of developing a soil profile that is still weak with physical properties that are influenced by land use and slope slopes. Differences in land use and topographic conditions can cause variations in soil physical properties such as texture, volume weight, permeability, moisture content, soil structure, and C-organic content. This study aims to compare the physical properties of soil in several land uses in Kepahiang District, Kepahiang Regency, and examine the relationship between land use and slope slope to soil physical conditions. The research was carried out in December-March 2026 using a survey method with a purposive random sampling technique. Sampling was carried out at 16 points representing the use of plantation land, rice fields, settlements, and shrubs at a depth of 0-20 cm. Soil samples were analyzed at the Soil Science Laboratory of the University of Bengkulu on the parameters of soil texture, volume weight, permeability, moisture content, soil structure, and C-organic. The results showed that land use and slope slope affect the variation in soil physical properties. Plantation land and shrubs tend to have better soil physical conditions than rice fields and settlements. The volume weight value ranges from 0.85-1.22 g/cm³, permeability 0.47-3.37 cm/h, moisture content 38.49-51.36%, and C-organic 1.57-10.14%.
