<![CDATA[Empty oil palm bunches (EOPB) are a type of solid waste produced in large quantities during oil palm processing and have not yet been optimally utilized in Padang Panjang Village, Semidang Gumay Subdistrict, Kaur Regency. This community service project aims to provide education, training, and guidance to the community on processing EOPB into environmentally friendly briquettes as an alternative fuel with economic value. The methods used included preparation, outreach, training and hands-on briquette-making practice, simple testing, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in the community’s knowledge and skills in processing FFB through the processes of drying, carbonization, grinding, mixing with tapioca flour as a binder, molding, and drying. The resulting briquettes are solid in form, do not crumble easily, burn well, and produce little smoke. The utilization of empty oil palm bunches into briquettes contributes to reducing environmental pollution while opening opportunities for increased community income. However, its development still requires support in the form of equipment, capital, and market access to ensure sustainability.]]>
