Abstract

This study examines Poco Leok women's loyalty to customary land as a form of cultural and ecological commitment in response to geothermal projects perceived as threatening the sustainability of local communities' lives. This study analyzes relevant literature that discusses the struggles of indigenous women in social, ecological, and participatory contexts. The results show that rejecting geothermal projects is not merely a political act but an expression of spiritual and ecological responsibility passed down from generation to generation. This study examines the Poco Leok women's faithfulness through theological reflection on Luke 23:27-31, which parallels the prophetic solidarity of the women of Jerusalem, who embody moral courage in the face of injustice. This research emphasizes the need for development based on participation, local wisdom, and ecological justice.
