The rapid pace of digital transformation requires Islamic banking institutions to strengthen their human resource capabilities to maintain competitiveness and improve service quality. This study aims to analyze employee competency development strategies in facing the digital banking era at Bank DKI Syariah, Pondok Indah Branch. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews. The results indicate that the digital competencies required of employees include digital literacy, technical operational skill digital services & understanding of Sharia compliance in digital banking services. Competency development strategies are built on four main pillars: competency mapping, tiered and multi-modal training, and competency certification implemented continuously. However, implementation still faces several challenges, including competency gaps, employee resistance, limited time, inadequate infrastructure, and employee turnover. In conclusion, continuous digital competency development through a structured strategy is essential for accelerating digital transformation & strengthening the competitiveness of Islamic banking institutions in the digital era.
