Electric power is used to support daily life, therefore electrical energy must be continues to grow given the growing need for this energy. So need to be preventive, corrective maintenance and optimization efforts generating units such as savings in the production process, one of which is with analyzed the failure of the operation of the Circulating Water Pump in Unit 2 PLTU Pangkalan Susu Power Plant. The formulation of the problem in this study is that the CWP 2A short circuit and the CWP 2A Vacuum Circuit Breaker failed trips, therefore it is necessary to analyze the CWP motor and the CWP 2A VCB Panel breaker, existing data, then a Failure Defense Task (FDT) recommendation is generated to prevent repeated failures.
