<![CDATA[This article explores the transformation of Indonesian Islamic organizations' involvement in Palestinian solidarity, shifting from charity-based efforts to more politically motivated advocacy. Organizations such as Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama have long been at the forefront of Indonesia’s humanitarian response to Palestine. However, in recent years, there has been a shift toward political engagement, advocating for Palestine not only through charitable donations but also through political campaigns, public protests, and calls for government action. This study analyzes the evolution of Islamic organizations' advocacy efforts, drawing from archival records, interviews with key figures, and analysis of political discourse. It argues that this shift represents a broader change in Indonesian Islamic civil society, moving from religious duty to politically-oriented activism. The paper further examines how Islamic leaders navigate the intersection of domestic political interests and international solidarity, shaping both national identity and foreign policy agendas.]]>
