<![CDATA[This paper examines how the Palestinian issue is used by Indonesian political parties and candidates during electoral campaigns. It investigates whether the framing of Palestine within political discourse is symbolic, as a tool for garnering support among voters, or whether it represents genuine political advocacy for Palestinian rights. By analyzing speeches, campaign materials, and media appearances, the study explores how different political actors, especially those with Islamic affiliations, incorporate the Palestinian cause into their electoral strategies. The paper also considers the relationship between Indonesia’s domestic political climate, religious identity, and international foreign policy, analyzing how Palestinian solidarity is leveraged to mobilize voters both within the Muslim majority and broader civil society.
