Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to impaired insulin secretion, decreased insulin sensitivity, or both. One of its major complications is diabetic foot ulcer, which requires appropriate wound management. Modern wound care using honey has been shown to be effective because of its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, as well as its ability to promote granulation tissue formation and inhibit bacterial growth. This study aimed to determine the effect of modern wound care using honey on the healing of diabetic foot ulcers. This pre-experimental study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 22 respondents at Dr. Midiyato Suratani Naval Hospital, Tanjungpinang, from March 3 to April 20, 2025, using consecutive sampling. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant effect of honey-based modern wound care on diabetic ulcer healing (p = 0.001, p < 0.05). These findings indicate that honey is an effective adjunctive therapy for accelerating tissue regeneration and wound healing. Â
