The reconstruction of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet Swan Lake alongside the challenge of paper waste management calls for innovative, community‑driven creative solutions. This study aims to develop an original visual interpretation of Swan Lake through tutu‑style costume and to explore the upcycling of paper waste into decorative paper beads. The research methodology comprises two main phases: data collection—including a literature review, material exploration, and hands‑on experimentation in paper bead fabrication—and design development using image boards and moodboards. The outcomes are three distinct tutu‑style costume prototypes that embody key characters, narrative arcs, and thematic scenes from Swan Lake. These final designs demonstrate that Swan Lake can be reimagined in an entirely original fashion through wearable art, and that paper beads made from recycled paper are both technically feasible and aesthetically enriching as ornamental details on tutu-style costume
