This study aims to design visual narratives in the picture book I Love You Mom through storytelling and editorial design approaches as a visual communication medium capable of building emotional engagement between mothers and children. The picture book was designed for the Momn Jo brand, targeting mothers with children aged 0–5 years. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach through literature studies and visual reference observation. The design results indicate that the integration of a child's narrative perspective, emotional storytelling approach, interactive journal pages, and editorial design principles—including flat illustration style, emotional color palette, handwritten typography, and flexible layout—successfully created an emotionally resonant, communicative, and meaningful reading experience. The picture book I Love You Mom was successfully designed as a visual communication medium that is not merely read but felt, strengthening the emotional bond between mother and child.
