Lower back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints experienced by third-trimester pregnant women due to physiological and biomechanical changes during pregnancy. This complaint can interfere with daily activities, sleep quality, and the mother’s comfort, thus requiring safe and effective nonpharmacological interventions. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball on lower back pain in third-trimester pregnant women at the Akelamo Community Health Center. The study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study sample consisted of 30 third-trimester pregnant women selected using total sampling. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after the intervention and was then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with a 95% significance level. The results showed that before the intervention, most participants experienced moderate to severe pain, whereas after receiving the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball, all participants experienced a reduction in pain intensity to the “no pain” to “mild pain” categories. Statistical analysis revealed a significant effect of the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball on reducing lower back pain in third-trimester pregnant women (p=0.000). These findings indicate that the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball is an effective, safe, and easy-to-apply complementary therapy as a nonpharmacological approach to reducing lower back pain and improving maternal comfort during pregnancy.
