This study aims to examine how the integration of green communication and sustainable communication paradigms in public communication practices of digital libraries can enhance Generation Z engagement in information literacy. The research question focuses on understanding the meanings, implementation, and implications of sustainability based public communication at the Bank Indonesia Digital Library. This research employs a qualitative exploratory design. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participatory observation of digital communication channels, and document analysis of internal policies and communication materials. Informants were selected purposively and included digital library managers, digital channel administrators, communication experts, and Generation Z users. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis based on grounded theory. The findings reveal three interrelated themes, namely governance messaging, trust gap, and organizational change readiness, which collectively shape the public communication dynamics of the digital library. Based on these findings, the study proposes the Green Sustainable Digital Library Communication Model (GSDLCM), consisting of Sustainable Trust Center, Green Adaptive Narration, and Sustainable Dialogue and Participation. The study demonstrates that integrating green and sustainable communication strengthens institutional trust, increases user engagement, and fosters active participation among Generation Z. These findings highlight the strategic role of digital libraries in promoting sustainable literacy and positioning public institutions as agents of social change in the digital era.
