<![CDATA[A sufficient supply of breast milk is a key factor in the success of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0–6 months. Various factors, particularly the mother’s psychological state, can affect the milk ejection reflex; therefore, safe and easily implementable nonpharmacological interventions are needed. One complementary therapy with the potential to increase breast milk flow is lavender aromatherapy, which provides a relaxing effect and helps stimulate the release of the hormone oxytocin. This study aimed to analyze the effect of lavender aromatherapy as a complementary therapy on breast milk flow in mothers breastfeeding infants aged 0–6 months at the Sari Makmur C3 Village Health Post. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 40 breastfeeding mothers selected using total sampling. Data on breast milk flow were obtained by measuring breast milk volume before and after the intervention and were analyzed using a paired t-test after confirming normality. The results showed that the average breast milk volume increased from 51.77 ± 6.98 mL before the intervention to 84.15 ± 5.46 mL after the administration of lavender aromatherapy, with an average increase of 32.38 mL. Statistical analysis revealed a significant effect on the improvement in breast milk flow (p = 0.000). These findings suggest that lavender aromatherapy can serve as an effective, safe, and easily implemented complementary therapy to support successful breastfeeding and improve the quality of lactation services in primary health care facilities.]]>
