<![CDATA[Global exclusive breastfeeding rates remain below the WHO target of 50%, and at the primary healthcare level, inadequate maternal knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding persists as a critical barrier to its achievement. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of leaflet media in improving maternal knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months at UPT Puskesmas Sei Pinang. A quantitative quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design without a control group was employed, involving 40 mothers with infants aged 0-6 months recruited through total sampling. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire administered before and after the leaflet intervention and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test at a significance level of p < 0.05. At baseline, 55.0% of respondents had poor knowledge and 45.0% had adequate knowledge, with none reaching the good category. Following the intervention, 67.5% attained good knowledge and 32.5% remained in the adequate category, while poor knowledge was entirely eliminated. The Wilcoxon test yielded Z = -5.857 with p = 0.000 < 0.05, confirming a statistically significant improvement in knowledge scores. Leaflet media is proven effective in enhancing maternal knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding. Primary healthcare facilities are encouraged to incorporate leaflets into routine antenatal and postnatal services, and future studies employing randomized controlled trial designs alongside multimodal educational approaches are recommended to strengthen the evidence base.]]>
