<![CDATA[The selection of exemplary students is an important process in order to give appreciation to students who show superior achievements both academically and non-academically. However, the selection process carried out manually often faces subjectivity and inaccuracy in decision-making. This research aims to build a decision support system (SPK) for selecting exemplary students using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The five criteria used in the selection process are expertise competency test score (C1), school exam score (C2), report card score (C3), attitude and personality score (C4), and extracurricular participation (C5). The SAW method was chosen because it is able to rank alternatives based on weights and criteria values with simple but effective calculations. The results showed that this system was able to provide objective and systematic recommendations for the selection of exemplary students at SMKs Sirajul Huda Paok Dandak. The acquisition of the first ranking result is in alternative A3 with the highest preference value of 0.99 for Aril Gunawan who was chosen as a model student. With this system, the selection process becomes more efficient, transparent, and accountable.]]>
