This study aims to find out and describe the relationship between logical- mathematical intelligence and learning motivation towards problem solving abilities, both individually and jointly. The sample used amounted to 55 people determined by simple random sampling. Measurement of learning motivation using Likert scale model questionnaire instruments with a score range of 1-5. Logical-mathematical intelligence and problem solving abilities are measured by test instruments. The research data was processed by simple regression techniques, multiple regression and correlation of significance level α = 0.05. The results of the study showed (1) there was a positive relationship between logical-mathematical intelligence and problem-solving ability of the 11th grade students Sinjai 14 High School with a contribution of 15,8%; (2) there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and problem solving ability of class XI students Sinjai 14 High School with a contribution of 23.2%; (3) there is a positive relationship between logical-mathematical intelligence and learning motivation with problem-solving abilities of class XI students SMA 14 Sinja with a contribution of 25.8%. These results indicate that logical-mathematical intelligence and learning motivation have an influence in supporting students 'problem-solving abilities, although the influence given is low due to the many other factors that support students' problem- solving abilities.
