The objectives of this research were: (1) to prove the influence of strategic quantitative solving problem method in calculating pH of Buffer and Hydrolisis toward the learning outcome of the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Palu, (2) to describe the difference between students’ learning outcome which employed Strategic Solving Problem Method (COAST) in solving Buffer soluble pH exercises and Hydrolisis with conventional learning to the eleventh grade students (Science Program) of SMA Negeri 2 Palu. This research employed Design Randomized Control Group Only. The population of the research was the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Palu. The sample were classes of Science Program 1 and Science Program 3. The sampling done purposively. The hypothesis examining used t-test statistics test. The research result shows that the students’ learning outcome who employed with COAST method, the average were higher than those who did not. Statistically, there was a significant difference, where tcalculated -4.586
