Abstract

This article discusses sexuality education for children based on Sigmund Freud's psychosexual theory. The discussion emphasizes that sexuality education is not limited to biological knowledge, but also includes values, attitudes, self-control, and emotional development. Family is the primary environment that introduces children to basic norms, while school plays a complementary role by providing scientific and age-appropriate information. Through Freud's stages of development, sexuality education can be adapted to children's developmental needs from infancy to adolescence. A balanced collaboration between parents and teachers is essential to support healthy identity formation and responsible behavior. Therefore, sexuality education should be understood as a shared educational responsibility that helps children grow into mature, ethical, and emotionally stable individuals.
