Jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) were extracted by maceration with 96% ethanol, yielding a 7.03% yield. Jackfruit leaves contain compounds including alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids. Based on the secondary metabolic content, jackfruit leaves have antibacterial activity. The use of secondary metabolites as antibacterials requires ease of use, so in this study jackfruit leaf extract was made into a scrub preparation. This scrub preparation was tested for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the well method with variations in jackfruit leaf extract concentrations of F0 without extract, FI 1%; FII 3%; FIII 5%; positive control clindamycin. The results of the inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria obtained FI of 11.23 mm; FII 11.48 mm; FIII 12.39 mm; Positive control 30.44 mm and F0 10.86 mm. Based on the results of the bacterial inhibition test, which was replicated three times, a statistical test was subsequently conducted using the SPSS software. The statistical analysis employed a One-Way ANOVA test, with the following results the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the means are different, where the variation in extract concentration influences the diameter inhibition test of the scrub preparation. These results indicate that FIII with an extract concentration of 5% showed better inhibitory power than other formulas but was not yet able to match the inhibitory power of the positive control clindamycin.
