<![CDATA[Uncontrolled blood pressure remains a concern among older adults with hypertension. This study analyzed factors associated with uncontrolled blood pressure. An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted in the Puskesmas Desa Lalang working area, Medan, from September to November 2025, involving 116 older adults with hypertension recruited using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the SQ-FFQ, MMAS-8, and IPAQ-SF; blood pressure was measured using an aneroid sphygmomanometer. Chi-square and multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed (p < 0.05). Of 116 participants, 65 (56.0%) had uncontrolled and 51 (44.0%) controlled blood pressure. Age > 65 years (AOR = 12.87; 95% CI: 8.09-33.47; p < 0.001), high salt in-take (AOR = 11.78; 95% CI: 5.34-18.71; p < 0.001), and medication non-adherence (AOR = 9.84; 95% CI: 7.64-14.74; p < 0.001) were associated with uncontrolled blood pressure. Older age, high salt intake, and medication non-adherence were associated with uncontrolled blood pressure. Primary healthcare should prioritize monitoring, salt reduction, and medication adherence.]]>
