<![CDATA[Regional levies are the main needs of the regions to run the wheels of government, therefore, regional levies are required to be effective and efficient in their implementation. Gibson (1980) suggests that the dimensions of effectiveness are used to measure effectiveness, namely the resource approach, process approach, and approach goals. The purpose of this paper is to describe the effectiveness of the local retribution for Malacca Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research. The results obtained from this study are the effectiveness of market retribution and regional wealth is running well and has a good effectiveness value as well. However, despite good achievements, the BPKPD of Malacca District has a record in managing market fees and regional wealth, namely inadequate human resources, facilities and infrastructure in offices and in markets and the challenges of climate change for traders in the market. For this reason, recommendations are given that the BPKPD of Malacca Regency continues to improve performance so that market retribution and regional wealth are always good and need to improve human resources and infrastructure in offices and markets that are inadequate.]]>
